• Attend section meetings either on a regular basis or when specifically requested
• Help with games and activities, set up and clear away equipment, tidy up etc.
• Help at occasional outside activities such as quiz afternoons, hikes or camps
• Can also get involved with planning future programmes and activities
• Depends very much on what the section leaders require

The leaders put in enormous amounts of time to give the young people lots of different experiences but we are dependant upon help by parents and guardians. This is especially requested at fund raising activities like the May Fair.

All leaders in the Scout movement are CRB checked as required by law. If you help out you will be required to undertake the CRB checking at our expense.

To ensure the the Group Exec has wide representation a Helper from each section, who is also a parent or guardian, is invited to attend the Group Exec meetings.

• Attend Group Exec meetings
• Provide input from a parent or guardian perspective
• Encourage other parents or guardians to support and attend Group events
• Generate section input for FirstNews and supply to Editor
• Assist with or keep the badge records for all members of the section
• Provide badge status updates for the section to the Group Exec
• Help sell tickets and collect monies from section parents for group events
